Why Run The Roos?
Look here for further information on this great event.
Regular exercise is one of the best ways to improve your physical and mental health. Running, and training for a marathon, is a great way to ensure you are getting enough.
Come run with us, lose a few kgs, and feel amazing while doing it!
No hills. No hidden gut-punches at the 30k mark. Just wide open roads that let you find your rhythm and hold it. Your PB doesn't stand a chance out here.
No dodging cars. No red lights. No peak-hour dramas. Just you, the road, and maybe a wave from a local farmer. This is running the way it should be — uninterrupted.
Endless paddocks. Golden crops. Silos on the horizon. Fresh country air. It's the kind of scenery that makes 20k feel like 10.
There's a run for everyone! From seasoned runners, to young kids, to regular people who want to get fit and challenge themselves.
The event is open to everyone! Run, walk, roll, gopher, no-one is excluded. Make sure you pick a distance suited to your ability.
You can get friends/family to drop you off/pick you up, or you can take the bus!
We will have a complimentary bus running from Murrayville-Pinnaroo-Parilla-Lameroo from 5.30am - 3pm. Park your car in the main street of any town, and jump on the bus for free!
Make sure you check this option when booking a ticket, so we know how big a bus we need.
There will be unpowered camping sites with shower and toilet facilities available in Pinnaroo for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) for $20 per person (Under 16s are free!). All the local towns also have varying accommodation options including pubs, caravan parks, motels, and airbnbs.
These awesome small towns are located about 2.5 hours from Adelaide or 6 hours from Melbourne, on the SA/VIC border. The easiest way to get here is to drive.
Unfortunately not! This is a once-off event. Come join us for an awesome running event with a cool, unique finisher medal, in some awesome small towns.
Of course! We're a bit biased, but the T-shirt is awesome! It's a high quality sports shirt that you can pick up before the race with your bib at the start line. Or, you can grab it after the race in Pinnaroo. It will be bright orange, and come in the regular range of sizes. Purchase with ticket.
The event is non-profit, and is run through Pinnaroo Fitness, Health & Wellness Inc. All money raised will be used to run the event. Any leftovers will be distributed to volunteer groups in the community.
Yes. You can log in any time to eventbrite and update your details and preferences.
Of course! Everyone who enters and completes their ticket, gets a bespoke Run The Roos finisher medal. We've seen the design already, they're pretty sweet.
